Here we go again folks, Gymnastics is back on the world stage and back in Japan.  Starting on Monday 18th October the 50th Artistic World Championships, being held in Kitakyushu, Japan begins.

An unprecedented year with both the Olympics and world champs being held in the same year!

Eight Olympic Champions and six other Olympic medallists, as well as a host of new and seasoned medal contenders will take to the arena.  Tokyo 2020 Olympic champions Hashimoto Daiki (JPN), Rebeca Andrade (BRA), Angelina Melnikova (RUS) and Shin Jeahwan (KOR) are among the eight Olympic champions ready to light up the 50th Artistic Gymnastics World Championships.

The British team, which was announced last month, has an array of experience and major honour winners and medallists.  None other than reigning bars world silver medallist, Becky Downie!

To help you keep abreast of all the action the BBC will be showing all of the finals live on BBC Online, Red Button and iPlayer.

If you can’t catch the live action, tune in to BBC2 on Thursday and Friday from 3pm – 4.45pm for highlights of the all-around finals, and on Sunday from 4pm – 6pm for individual apparatus highlights.
